To evaluate the efficacy of pelviscopic surgery in gynecologic patient, we reviewed 100 patients treated pelviscopically from January 1994 to December 1994.
@ES The results were as follows;
@EN 1. The common indications were ectopic pregnancy(42%), ovarian cyst(27%), and endometriosis(9%).
2. Frequent types of surgery were salpingo-oophorectomy(27%), salpingectomy(20%), MTX injection(14%), and cauterization(9%).
3. Mean age and parity of patients were 28.7 and 1.1.
4. Mean duration of hospitalization was 4.1 days.
5. The most common complication was hemorrhage at the trocar site but it was controlled without difficulty.
In our conclusion, pelviscopic surgery makes minimal incision, minimal postoperative hemorrhage and postoperative discomfort, low complication land short hospital stay. This type of surgery is simple and useful method of treatment in the
community
hospital.
